Privacy Policy
Operator and scope
This policy covers the English, Russian and Chinese pages of heartqi.com, its nutrition questionnaire, email sign-up, accounts and food diary. “HeartQI”, “we” and “us” refer to the website operator. You can make data requests through the @heartqi contact channels below.
This policy describes processing we control on this website. External sites and messaging services reached through our links have their own terms and privacy practices.
Information we collect
When you submit a questionnaire, we save your selected pregnancy stage, height, weight and other body measures, eating habits, nutrition priorities and health-related answers. An email entered in the questionnaire is linked to that submission. A separate email sign-up submits only the email and submission metadata; it does not automatically attach questionnaire answers.
At registration, we store your email, a salted password hash, subscription preference and creation time. Sign-in uses a session cookie. Questionnaires and food diaries saved while signed in may be linked to the account. A diary may include date, meal, foods and any feeling you enter after eating.
On questionnaire submission, email sign-up or registration, the server records time, IP address, country or region, browser name and user-agent string, request language, browser time zone and network time zone when available. Technical signals may not accurately describe your location. Cloudflare may also process request data for network operation, performance and security.
When signed out, questionnaire answers and diary entries may remain in this device’s browser storage. They reach our server when you submit them through the page or sync after signing in. Clearing browser storage does not automatically remove previously submitted server records.
Purposes and legal grounds
We use information to save questionnaires and diaries, show nutrition learning priorities, operate accounts, respond to enquiries and data requests, improve content, prevent misuse and secure the site. Learning prompts are rule-based education, not automated medical diagnosis.
If you actively leave an email in the subscription form or enable nutrition emails in your account, we may send pregnancy nutrition content. You may ask us to stop at any time. Creating an account alone does not enable account email lessons.
Depending on applicable law, processing may rest on a service you request, your subscription choice, legitimate interests in site security or another applicable ground. Pregnancy and health-related data may require additional protection. Where law requires a separate consent or other condition, we will address that requirement. Legal grounds differ by jurisdiction.
Storage and international processing
Information is stored and processed using Cloudflare infrastructure and D1. Visitors and service facilities may be in different countries or regions, so cross-border access or transfers may occur. We do not promise that information stays only in your country. The specific data location depends on the Cloudflare service and configuration.
Retention
Account information and linked questionnaires and diaries generally remain while the account exists. Standalone emails, questionnaires without an account link and submission metadata remain until the operator removes them or handles a valid deletion request; there is currently no uniform automatic deletion period.
Some information may remain for a reasonably necessary period for security, dispute handling, legal duties or backup recovery. Browser storage remains on your device until you clear it or the site’s local process removes it.
Your choices and rights
You can read public content without providing a questionnaire or email. In your account, you can export account-related data, change email preferences or delete the account and linked records. Contact us below to request access, correction, deletion or an end to emails for a standalone address or unlinked questionnaire.
To avoid disclosure to the wrong person, we may ask for enough information to locate a record and verify the requester. Legal retention obligations, records we cannot reasonably locate and other lawful exceptions may affect a request. Depending on applicable law, you may also object, seek restriction or portability, or complain to a competent authority.
Security measures
We use HTTPS, a protected administrator area, password hashing and session controls to reduce unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration. No internet transmission or electronic storage is perfectly secure. Protect your password and sign out on shared devices. Contact us below if you suspect improper access.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as features, providers or applicable requirements change, and will show the revision date here. Where reasonably practicable, we will draw attention to material changes through the site or an existing contact channel. Review the latest version before continuing to use the site.
Detailed Disclaimer
Education, not individual medical advice
HeartQI articles, the 2–1–1 plate, protein estimates, water and salt guidance, exercise examples, questionnaire results, food diary and messages are general nutrition education and self-management information. They are not a diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan or individualized medical advice. Using the site, completing a questionnaire or contacting the operator does not create a clinician–patient relationship.
Individual circumstances come first
Pregnancy stage, pre-pregnancy weight, multiple pregnancy, test results, allergies, medicines, gestational diabetes, kidney disease, anaemia and other conditions change nutrition and activity needs. Site figures are general references or estimates and may not suit everyone. Do not rely on this site alone to attempt weight loss, restrict carbohydrates or change medicines, supplements or a clinician-prescribed eating plan. Check weight gain, protein, iron, glucose management and exercise restrictions with a qualified local maternity clinician or registered nutrition professional.
Emergencies and food safety
The website and chat channels do not provide emergency care. Seek immediate local emergency or maternity care for concerning symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, marked dehydration, severe headache or visual changes, or markedly reduced fetal movement. Food allergies, hygiene and pregnancy food safety require local official guidance and personal clinical advice.
Accuracy, external links and liability
We aim to update content from reliable sources, but evidence, guidelines, regional advice and site features may change. We do not guarantee content is always complete, error-free or continuously available, or that a diet or tool will produce a particular health outcome. Third parties control external links; a citation or link does not endorse all their content, products or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on general website information, technical interruption or third-party services beyond liabilities imposed by law. Nothing here removes non-waivable consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Contact and data requests
To request access, correction or deletion, provide the email you used or information that helps locate your questionnaire. Please do not send full medical records or identity documents in ordinary chat.
